More Sounds of Skyrim - "Sons of Skyrim" Acoustic and Electric Violin Cover
Meet Jason Yang. Jason is a violinist with an exceptional sound and list of performance credits to his name. Jason has also just uploaded a performance of music from the video game Skyrim that stands out amongst the ever-growing number of similar videos. Please enjoy Jason Yang's acoustic and electric violin performance of Jeremy Soule's music from Skyrim.
As you see and hear, Jason went the extra mile of not only multi-tracking his performance, but incorporating it into his video to excellent effect. As of this writing, I've sent a request to Jason to find out how many tracks he recorded of himself and will update this post once I hear back from him.
The level on which Jeremy Soule's music of Skyrim speaks to people, both performers and listeners alike, is a testament to his creations. Less than two months after release, his music is inspiring more and more D-I-Y performance covers like this. Jason Yang, along with Malukah are among some of the very best. Bethesda Softworks should consider collecting the best of the best of these and compile an album to benefit a charity.
This actually marks a trifecta of posts on the subject of the sounds of Skyrim, likely because I have been playing a bit more of the game than is healthy, and finding myself enraptured by the music found within. In addition to Jason and Malukah, band your armor covered head to this metallic version!
Props to reader @thatRikkiWebb for bringing this to my ears!
