A Cool, New Music Video from Minus the Bear
Seattle indie darlings Minus the Bear have a brand new music video out and this one is something rather special. Minus the Bear have collaborated with a top animation house and the Rug Burn channel to craft a video from their latest album, Infinity Overhead. If you like indie rock and professional animation with a decidedly indie style, come in and take a look.
Directed by Jesse LeDoux, the video was produced by Six Point Harness animation studio and as you will see, it looks as great as the song sounds.
There is a quite a lot going on in the video, so it deserves repeat viewings. Now, riffing on what YouTube commenter FangsFirst's factoid list about the video; there are a total of 27 different heads, 22 different bodies and 26 different sets of legs (subtract 1 from each to get the total number of changes throughout the video) which appear on the ever changing protagonist(s).
If you aren't familiar yet with Rug Burn Channel, you need to be, as they are the home of not just this cool music video, but original animation series including the awesomesauce of Axe Cop (written by a 5-year old and illustrated by his 29-year old brother), the very witty Duke of Fancy and Apollo Gauntlet, a tale of a man from Earth who "uses magical gauntlets, rap songs and dancing to survive in a hostile new world, ever searching for the evil scientist who transported him there". You had me at magical gauntlets and rap songs.
Check out the Rug Burn Channel on YouTube for all of these series and by all means, follow Rug Burn on Twitter to stay up to date for the premieres of their series and music videos.
