Rest in Peace, Alan Myers of DEVO...


The official website of DEVO reported sad news this morning that drummer, Alan Myers passed away following his battle with cancer.

Alan Myers was the third drummer to play with DEVO, replacing Jim Mothersbaugh in 1976 and bringing his "metronomic drumming style" to the band's most successful era over the course of his ten years with the unique band. There is no better example of Myers' sound than on DEVO's signature song, "Whip It".
