Video Game Violinist Lindsey Stirling Takes on the Theme from Halo

Violinist Lindsey Stirling has done it again. By pairing her talents with pianist William Joseph, Stirling has brought her signature sound to a very familiar video game theme, one which I am actually surprised she hadn't taken on sooner; Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori's "Opening Suite" from Halo.

Press play and enjoy the sounds of Stirling's violin. Don't worry Spartan, we'll keep an eye out for Covies which you enjoy the music.

With the same performing panache she demonstrated with her cover of the theme to The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and even her original pieces, Lindsey Stirling continues to demonstrate what a wonderful talent she is, especially when crafting tributes in audio and video form to the popular music of the video game world.

You can enjoy more of Stirling's sounds on YouTube, along with the performances of pianist William Joseph, who deserves major props for this stunning rendition of Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir", performed 60 feet above the floor of LACMA.

You should follow both Lindsey Stirling and William Joseph on Twitter. You can also follow yours truly, even though I've never touched a violin and my piano skills start and end with "Chopsticks" and "Smoke on the Water".
