15 Second Tease of New Daft Punk Song Makes Fans to Go Daft on a Sunday Morning

Did you stay up late to watch the long-running late night comedy of SNL last night? If you did, and if you didn't ignore the commercials, you were the first to hear 15 seconds of what is likely a long-awaited new track from Daft Punk. Did you miss it? Read on then.

That is absolutely a Nile Rodgers guitar riff being laid down there.

The French electronic duo announced last week they signed with Columbia Record, and it is already very well known they worked on new music with Chic's Nile Rodgers, along with song writing legend and Oscar-winner Paul Wililams and electronic/disco pioneer Giorgio Moroder.

There is literally no other info right now, but, a band and especially its label never spend money on a nationally televised commercial unless they are close to announcing a release date and (holding breath here) a potential tour.

Keep your helmets on kids. It may be only 15 seconds, but it certainly sounds as if Daft Punk are getting to closer to blowing our minds with their new sounds.
