New Daft Punk Album Now Available for Pre-Order; Collaborators Video Series Premieres

Are you a human (after all) who enjoys the sounds programmed by the musical robot duo known as Daft Punk? Then your ears will be happy to hear the news that the long-awaited return of Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter is nearly over. Their highly anticipated new album, Random Access Memories, is available to pre-order.

As of press time, there still isn't much information about the album, beyond it's recently announced title. Even iTunes only lists the 13 tracks as Track 1, Track 2 and so on. What is new, however, is the first in a series of videos from Daft Punk and The Creators Project, entitled Random Access Memories: The Collaborators, which focuses on the extreme range of creative talent Daft Punk worked with on this album. First up; legendary producer, song writer and Italo Dance pioneer, Giorgio Moroder.

Expect future installments of The Collaborators to focus on über producer Nile Rodgers and singer-songwriter Paul Williams. This is a cool, multimedia push to keep fans excited and engaged as they await the release of the album. Now all we have to do is avoid fake "leaked tracks" from ne'er do well Netizens, which occurred with increasing frequency during the run up to the release of Daft Punk's most recent output, the soundtrack to Tron: Legacy.

Random Access Memories will drop on May 17 in Europe, three days later in the United Kingdom and on May 21 in the US.
