Combining The Peanuts Comic Strip with the Lyrics of The Smiths is Uncannily Spot On

In what is undoubtedly the finest example of pathos as defined by the world of Internet pop culture collisions, a new Tumblr features the lyrics of Morrissey combined with the legendary Peanuts comic strips of Charles M. Schulz.  If you've ever paid even the smallest amount of attention to either of these seemingly opposite ends of the cultural spectrum, you may be stunned by the results.

Remixed by graphic designer Lauren LoPrete, the combination of The Mozzer's lyrics and the subtle, psychological thematic elements of Peanuts, results in an uncanny new level of gravitas conferred upon both pop culture icons.

This Charming Charlie  needs to be experienced as a whole to truly appreciate it, so plan on perusing its panels in depth. However, might I suggest taking things even further and play a loop of this cover of The Smiths' "Unhappy Birthday" performed by YouTube artist John Lewis as you read. The effect of Lewis' Wurlitzer sound on the panels is, well, you will get the idea.

And don't forget to hang the DJ...
