New Song from DragonForce

Now here is something my ears have been longing to hear: New music from DragonForce! This is the first proper listen we've had of new vocalist, Marc Hudson. The band are describing "Fallen World" as "the fastest song" they've ever recorded, and that is definitely no exaggeration. Put on your neck brace before listening.

No, really. A word of caution. If this is your first time experiencing the Power Metal sound of DragonForce, do not attempt to do the following while listening: 1. Headbanging. You only have one and you don't want it to spontaneously fall off. 2. Air Guitaring. No matter how much of a pro you think you may be at it, attempting to could result in your fingers tied in knots. 3. Drive a vehicle of any kind. Unless you are a professional race car driver, of course. Ok, now that we have the disclaimers out of the way, kindly turn your speakers up to 11.


After a single listen, I am happy to say that Hudson has taken over the mic in commanding fashion, following the departure of vocalist ZP Theart. Hudson sounds like he will be able to handle DragonForce's catalog of songs just as well as the new material written for him. The Power Within album drops on April 17th.
