Boosting the Signal - Support the Tokyo Gaming Showcase to Receive Some Stellar Sounds

Welcome to another edition of Boosting the Signal. The world of independently financed creative endeavors has exploded in the past couple years with more and more projects vying for your dollars to get off the ground. Boosting the Signal is meant to cut through the noise and bring your attention to music-based projects which should definitely appeal to your ears. The Tokyo Gaming Showcase Album Bundle is a project which you can feel secure knowing it will deliver what it promises in terms of rewards. It also features an incredible bargain of 10+ albums worth of music for only seven bucks. Get in here and check out the sounds.

The Tokyo Gaming Showcase Album Bundle is the latest Kickstarter project by Jeriaska ジェリアスカ, who is the authority on video game soundtracks and especially the indie game and game music scene in Japan. Having supported his projects in the past, I can personally attest to the quality of the products he delivers. This time around, @Nobuooo as he is known on Twitter, has assembled a pair of incredible bundles of video game soundtracks and indie music inspired by the gaming world.

For only four bucks, you get your choice of either the Indie Score Pack or the Game-Inspired Pack. For seven bucks you get both, which is a ludicrously great deal if you want to dive head first in the music scenes these bundles focus on.

The Indie Score Pack features the following albums:
Antichamber Soundtrack by Siddhartha Barnhoorn
The Swapper and Invaders: Corruption by Carlo Castellano
Year Walk soundtrack and Device 6 teaser by Daniel Olsén
Hiversaires iOS / Android soundtrack by Aliceffekt
Rokko Chan Soundtracks by Asagen and Extended Play by GameChops

Check out one of Carlo Castellano's tracks from this set:

The Game-Inspired Pack features:
TRUTHCANNON by A_Rival (which is utterly stellar!)
Koopa Soundworks Tokyo Game Show EP
Bagu and the Riverman by DJ Cutman and Spamtron
Mutherpluckin' B Forthcoming Cover Album (which I haven't heard, but based on the artist's Twitter bio I need to)
Castlevania Nocturnal Cantata and Mega Ran Japan Tour EP

Here is a track from the Game-Inspired Pack:

Half the fun of supporting Kickstarter projects are checking out the higher level pledge awards. To quote Ferris Bueller, "If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up." Jeriaska has actually kept the higher end goodies to much lower denominations that one usually finds in projects like this, so kudos for that.

There are some sweet bonuses at the lower levels, including a chance to be among the first to hear A_Rival's unreleased STREET FIGHTER X MEGA MAN remix album. This Kickstarter benefits the participating musicians and makes event programming and journalistic coverage by the project creators possible.

If you love video game music, you have no excuse not to skip one fast-food meal and kick in seven dollars to support the efforts of the people behind the Tokyo Gaming Showcase. If you are new to game music, but have an appreciation for EDM/electronica/this week's new buzz word; take a chance, and you may just find some new music you would never have otherwise heard. If you read this far and are utterly lost, dive in to the deep end of the game audio pool and enjoy the music.

There are only a few days left to support it and there are no continues, so for the full details on this project and to support it, head over to the Tokyo Gaming Showcase Kickstarter page!
